Happy holidays from TeenHelp. - December 26th 2021, 01:41 PM

Hi everyone,

Our planet is an amazing place, vibrant and full of life, and giving us so much. We have all seen the importance of our environment, green and open spaces this year; how calming they can be; how they can help us connect with others in a safe and relaxing way. Time and time again we have seen that being part of nature has fantastic therapeutic benefits, from boosting mood and reducing anxiety, to improving physical health and more, the power of nature is incredible.

Right now we are in a climate crisis! Our planet is a precious thing and we don't have a Planet B. It may seem so far away and like these global issues are hard to influence. It may feel overwhelming, anxious or stressful and like you don’t have the knowledge or skills to make a difference. But each of us has everything we need to change the world, and you can play your part in how we save our planet. Acknowledge your feelings and find ways to connect with others.

Each day there are small things you can do to help, from buying less material items, recycling more and wasting less, to using and celebrating the green spaces near you; every choice can make a small difference to the world we live in.

This Christmas take some time to think about your place in the world, the spaces and places in your community that matter to you, and what role you will play in 2022 on this important global issue.

Be brave and be bold. You don't need to tackle it all at once, but rather one piece at a time, in small ways, to make a huge difference in our world.

I hope you have all had a very Merry Christmas, you continue to enjoy the festive period and have a Happy New Year too!
