Hello Sue,
I am so sorry about all of this and I hope that you will be okay soon. I only use these kinds of headphones for when I'm using the leaf blower and the kind that I have are the Dewalt hearing protection black/yellow ones. They work very well and it blocks out so much of the sounds. When my parents or sister's are yelling for me, I can't really hear them and they have to come and touch my arm to get my attention. You can go on Amazon and they have them and others like that. I hope that you are able to find something to help you and I hope that you will be okay soon with all of this happening.
