This is solely something that is a decision between you and the family. There could be some positives that can come out of this in regards to seeing a jail environment will deter teenagers from wanting to go down that path of criminal activities. I know of a show that wayward teenagers have to visit jails and be educated in order to stop them from doing what they're doing.

her mom is remorseful and I have no problem with my daughter seeing her. What would say are the benefits of visiting in person? I’m fine with her talking to mom or even seeing her it is simply the environment, seeing the guards, and inmates, seeing what jail is like etc.
