I don't really agree with resetting counts. I think that is a tradition that came from AA. SAMSHA does not define recovery in terms of number of days sober, but instead it defines it as general wellness and a progression towards better health and wellbeing. According to this definition, someone can still drink alcohol and be in recovery as long as trying to moderate is not an uphill battle and they don't have an unhealthy relationship with a substance. It sounds like you have been sober more days than not this month. Do you feel like you are in recovery?
