Re: Cant get pregnant - February 25th 2009, 08:11 PM

I don't know what it's like where you live, but in the UK the doctors usually make you wait 12 months from coming off birth control before they will run any tests for infertility, because (assuming you are healthy, normal weight etc) that's usually how long it takes for your cycle to return completely to normal. 5 months off the pill is not that long and although some people may get pregnant straight away, it may take others a little longer, especially if you or your partner are overweight, smoke, drink heavily, have poor diet or don't exercise.

It is also advised to have sex once every other day, or once every 3, to mean that your partners come has a higher sperm count. If you have sex two or 3 times a day, there will be less. It also means that you will be guaranteed to catch your ovulation, which you will have trouble knowing about if you have very irregular periods.

Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though its breaking
When there are clouds in the sky, youll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
Youll see the sun come shining through for you
