If you're on the insulin pump, as you know you cant take hard hits to that area. It may be a problem if you're responding to calls because there's the chance it may be damaged. I'm not sure what police do for hand-to-hand training but having an insulin pump may not be recommended for such training and sparring. That is the only thing I could think of that may be a concern. I don't know if it's possible but if there are highly protective or shock-absorbent cases for the insulin pump, they may be helpful.
