Re: Infected Cartilage piercing--what to do? - November 16th 2011, 01:05 AM

Is the stud made of surgical steel?

I found that my piercings healed much better when I put bioplast/bioflex studs in instead.

You can buy one from http://www.bodyjewelleryshop.com/ and it should arrive within 2 days.

What BJS says about bioplast/bioflex:

In the mean time, do what Nicole said and up the number of times you clean it.

Also, don't clean the piercing with cotton wool, use something like kitchen towel because the fibres won't break off and cause further irritation to the site.

If you still haven't managed to get the stud back into the piercing, I would either go back to the piercing place where you got it done, or another one. They will be able to put it back in for you.
