No self harm contract?

I had to sign on today because I still harm regularly... And I kinda broke it... I just see as a piece of paper with no meaning. But what happens if you break it... I'm scared of what will happened,,,

I personally don't think contracts are the best way to quit. Anyway, talk to the person who made you sign it and ask what the consequences are. You can try telling them that this isn't a good way to get you to stop. You can't just make someone stop... maybe they help some people, but like you said, I would see it as a pointless piece of paper.

I agree with asking the person you signed it with what the consequences actually are. It may be something like speaking with your parents, but it's best to check into it first before you just assume.

I totally agree with Stelles though that you can explain to the person how much the no self harm contract is pressuring you and how you don't feel as if it is anything but a piece of paper. Maybe they can come up with another tactic to help you, if they know that what they are currently doing isn't working.

Hey there,

I think you should speak with the person you signed this contract with and see what the consequences are. Did the two of you discuss the consequences before signing the contract? I also think it would be a good idea for you to talk to the person you signed this contract with and let them know that you don't feel as though it is helping. I would suggest that you ask them if there is something else that you guys could try to help you work on overcoming your self harm such as setting goals. For example, you could try setting the goal of going a week without self harm and from there you could try going two weeks. When you meet these goals maybe you could have some kind of reward system in place. I've found that setting goals works better then a no harm contract and maybe that will help you as well.

If you ever want to talk please feel free to message me.
