Welcome to TH! :)

In answer to your question, anything that is done with the intent to hurt yourself is self-harm. So, yes, I believe that what you're engaging in is self-harm. This page has some more information about that. Also, when you're feeling disappointed in yourself, check out the alternatives thread! Reading it is an alternative itself.

I think that yes, this would be self harm. Self harm can be described as anything that you do to yourself to inflict pain as a way of coping or handling what is going on around you. Since you are punching yourself, even without leaving bruises, you are using a means of physical pain to cope with what is going on, so it would be self harm.

This is a link to a list of alternatives to self harm, which are healthier, safer ways to cope with what is going on. I'd recommend trying some of these out, they're better. :)

Hey there!

Anything you do to hurt yourself intentionally is self-harm. I'm glad you don't have bruises from it, though. In a way, I think it's good that you've recognized it. It's not too severe right now so I suggest slowly trying to redirect your anger from yourself. When you get angry, punch a pillow or shred paper instead of hurting yourself.
