Was I raped?

One night when I was 16 I was sleeping next to my bf at the time. I woke up to him inside of me. We had sex before but only a couple of times. I said no but not loud because my mother was in the next room and i didn't want her to know what was going on so there's a possibility that he didn't hear me. I tried to squeeze his arm and hands to signal to stop but i'm not sure if he understood what i was signaling. I was in so much pain and I didn't know what to do so I just laid there crying until he was done, but since i'm not sure if he heard me say no, I'm not sure if it counts as rape, I just really need to know, please help me

Since this was unconsented sex, in my opinion yes this is a rape. We talked in chat about it already but just wanted to post it here too.

Re: Was I raped?

Yes I would say that what your boyfriend has done is rape. You did not consent to having sex with him. The fact you said no also means that it was rape. What your boyfriend did was wrong very wrong. It might help for you to tell someone about what has happened to you, this could be anyone from a parent, to a teacher, a friend , a school or guidance counsellor or the police. What your boyfriend did was very wrong and was not your fault. Don't keep this a secret and please do try to tell someone.

Re: Was I raped?

Yes, that is considered rape because you told him no and you did not consent to it.

By definition, yes, that is considered rape. You didn't consent to it and he started while you were unable to make a conscious decision (being asleep, obviously). I would suggest seeking legal action if you can, and if you can't, at least seek counseling. Just remember that this is by no means your fault!
