Catcalling incident

So last night I went to the ER for a sh relapse, and there was this guy there who was eyebrow flashing me and staring at me. It was honestly creeping me out. This morning he goes 'Hey, you know they have coffee?! They can make you a cup of coffee'. I'm a 12 year old, so obviously not allowed to have coffee in most situations. So I took this as my chance to make it known I was a minor and said 'I am a minor, I'm not allowed to have coffee yet,' and he covered his face and looked away from me. I realized then he didn't know I was a minor. Honestly it was creeping me out. Is the eyebrow flashing repeatedly catcalling? or am I being overdramatic. It made me uncomfortable and he kept looking me up and down while he did it.

I think catcalling is verbal if I remember correctly, but what he was doing was sexual harassment because the eyebrow flashing seemed to be sexual in nature. That's so creepy, and I'm sorry that happened to you! The good news is that you'll never have to see this guy again. You don't have to say anything at all to someone harassing you or catcalling you if you don't want to.

ah alr. js curious what it would be considered. But yeah, my mom was disgusted by it when I told her about it. And I had seen him in the psych ward before and we live near the same er, so I'm praying to god I don't see him.

I’m not sure how things are set up where you are but perhaps you can ask staff if you can be set up in a different room/area if you see him in the future and just let them know he has harassed you in the past?

I could try that. I'm not sure really either if room moves are available. I live in CT, so typically in ERs or at least mine that's not much of an option. BUt it depends how full, if there are patients in the hall it wouldn't be available I'm p sure.
