Will the Covid 19 ever end

I just see everyone dying and the governments all doing absolutely nothing about it in my opinion

This whole situation is driving me insane I feel trapped

I know what you mean. We finally started getting vaccines here and now there's a new strain in the UK. It feels like it's never going to end, and we'll be social distancing and wearing masks for the rest of our lives. I doubt it'll last forever, but it definitely feels like it.

I think many many people feel very similarly right now, myself included. It's frustrating and upsetting, so I know how you feel.

I think a lot of people feel the same way.

I don't know how the situation is in Switzerland, but the UK seem to be doing reasonably ok, if a little slow.

We've recently hit 9 million vaccinations which is great news. I feel the constant cycle of lockdowns however, is putting a lot of stress on everyone and it's just making people feel isolated.

Do you feel like there's anything you can do to help make yourself feel less trapped? What about taking up a new hobby or joining the chatroom? Due to the UK's lockdown I've taken up gaming again. While it hasn't completely made things better, it has helped ease the uncertainty and difficulty of being stuck at home all day. You could try your hand at drawing, painting, maybe even photography? Exercise is a great way to pass the time and it gets you fit and healthy as well. :)

In another thread you mentioned that many in Switzerland are reserved, but what about your co-workers? What about family back home in the UK? Maybe you could do some Skype/Zoom calls with them or see about online gaming? It's not the same as being able to hang around with others in person, I know, but at least you're still surrounded by others in at least some way. :)

Re: Will the Covid 19 ever end

I believe Covid in its various mutations will be with us for a very long time, except we now have an amazing and totally awesome bunch of super vaccines, many of which are still being produced. Vaccines for this nasty disease are knocking the stats down every day, so I'm okay with the fact that every year we'll be getting covid vacs much in the same way as many are getting flu-vacs. Covid vaccines, incidentally, are not mandatory. We all have a choice. :)

However, we may as well resign ourselves that Covid is going to remain with us, and accept the fact. And stop stewing about it. Because nobody is guaranteed longevity. For all we know we could be mowed down by a bus, so I think the best thing we can do is enjoy life until lockdown eases. Follow your government's guidelines, watch TV updates get a vaccine if you're offered and get on with living.

Justin, I know how you feel about COVID-19 and it seems to be never ending. But I think if you look back upon historical plagues, whether they lasted months/years/decades; they all eventually faded off. If they still linger, it's only within super isolated groups — such as remote communities in third world countries. With that being said, it's practically guaranteed that COVID-19 and its various mutations will go away; maybe not 100% as I said with the other plagues... but the severity will lessen over time.

We're practically rounding up on the first anniversary of COVID-19 being worldwide... and I think a lot of us began feeling the fatigue a long time ago. The best thing to do — like we have been for the past ten or eleven months — is to find things to keep ourselves busy. Utilize what you are capable of.

Several examples might be:
You good at writing? Any type of writing is decent IMO and share it online! Create a blog, join a fiction site, etc.
You good at drawing? Then create drawings in specific genres and share it on sites where others can do the same.
You good at singing or monologues? Then create a Youtube series... Irregardless of end goal, it keeps you busy.

Of course, there are people out there doing these — and more — for profit; but if you choose to not do that, it's fine!

Be patient, wait out the storm. You've got this, Justin.

I've heard covid will end in the summer 2022. Unfortunately.

Covid is a virus and will be with us forever. Let us learn to embrace reality and all we can do is to live through it. Vaccines are now available and can be helpful but we have an immune system that can defend us. Stay healthy; live well.

The Government could have given away vitamins A, C, D, ivermectin, and hydroxychloroquine nationwide. Life would have already returned to normal. But health was never a goal because there is no money and power in that.

As someone who works on a covid unit at my local hospital, I was talking to my coworkers about this. We feel that it won’t “fully” go away, and it will begin to be another “influenza”. Basically we are thinking that it would disappear in a way, but would continue to come back annually.

Part of me believes that it will go away and we can return to a type of “normal”

This is a spine in the back of everyone. I hope it will end soon, but i can hardly see a way out. For me, we can go outside again without mask, but we must know that we can still found it almost forever and we can take it like a flu.

At this point, I think it will eventually become like the flu, we get the shot every year and for the most part, life goes back to normal. So, I'm tempted to say no, but I can finally go to work without a mask.

There are many rumors about covid-19 and various forecasts related to this virus. Personally, I adhere to one of the theories that says that after some time all this will turn into a common seasonal disease, because this virus adapts very easily to various medications, which is why it will live for a long time. Initially, I was very worried about this virus, so when I felt the symptoms, I immediately passed tests using the service https://kaspiro-services.co.uk /. But I was lucky to carry covid-19 in a light form.

I feel like we will continue to have booster vaccines for COVID going forward. I think again self isolating if you are sick should be a thing COVID or not. Keep getting tested for it if you show signs, and remember to wash your hands. As some others said, I feel as if it'll be treated like the flu and/or a cold. So far life pretty much is back to normal besides mask mandates in doctor's offices here.

Re: Will the Covid 19 ever end

I don't think it will end as such, but restrictions have been relaxed, however that being said there are currently over 1.3million in England who have tested positive for covid and quite a-lot of the people in hospitals are covid patients who have had the vaccine and the booster vaccines... I've had 3 vaccines and caught covid.. I don't think Covid will like actually ever go away I think it will be more like the flu where each year we get a flu vaccine...
Here in England there has been talk of mask wearing coming back and some restrictions being put back into place I am hoping that does mean a lockdown. The problem is because there is no longer a legal requirement for people with the covid-19 virus to self isolate.. people are going about and spreading it. I think that if you have the virus you should self isolate.. because the vaccine doesn't prevent you getting the virus... it just means you MIGHT not be as poorly as you would be if you had not been vaccinated..
I have now tested negative but the cough is lingering.

I don't think COVID will ever go away either. Restrictions are way more relaxed like you mentioned. I didn't know that about England having that many positive cases. I too had my vaccines and booster, but ended up getting COVID this past May.

I sadly know of people in real life, and on the Internet who tested positive but continued going around the community spreading it. I also think the same thing. If you test positive, you should be self isolating for the 5-10 day period. They also here in my state don't test you for COVID before a surgery/procedure if you are double jabbed and boosted.
