Can parents stop a child from getting clothing in a certain size?
 

Since 2010 or so, I have always liked to wear bigger clothes. But my parents WILL NOT allow me to have ANY say about the size of an article of clothing I'd like to have, as in, they seriously regulate what size I choose from a clothing store. A lot of the time someone goes clothes shopping, including times where I went along, it's like I'm prohibited from having clothes in a bigger size.

They won't even make NO EXCEPTIONS not even if it's a gift for birthday or Christmas. It's like they don't allow me to choose clothing in a bigger size if I like to wear clothes in a larger size. Like I wanted a coat for Christmas in December 2013, but they delayed it until December 2014 because they initially couldn't afford it. Even then, I wasn't allowed to have any input about my desired size.

And there's a hoodie I'd like to get soon if anyone goes clothes shopping. I saw it in a store beforehand and I've planned out my desired size, and again, I need to know how to convince my parents to allow me to have large clothing if it makes me feel more comfortable, even as a legal adult recently they may not allow it.

They have even tried to restrict me to the same pants size I've had since I was about 12 or 13 and not taking in the fact that I have gained at least edited pounds and at least 5 inches taller since I was that age.
