It's really hard to get over a death, especially that of a parent. It takes some people longer to get over things than others, but usually, people push through and learn how to smile again after a month or two.

Just give your mum time, and make her feel really special. Best wishes for you and her. (:

Losing a parent has to be the hardest thing anyone has to deal with. This is someone you have known them literally your whole life and it is hard to imagine that they are not going to be around any more.

It has only been two weeks, she is probably still coming to terms with the fact that he has gone and she will never see him again. This can take years for some people.

You just need to be there for her and try to make her feel better as best you can.

In addition to what was said, I suggest that you be there for her. Sit with her and do things with her unless she wants to be alone.
