That 'one' co-worker
This is more of a general question than anything personal. Have you ever had that 'one' co-worker that's typical of something no other co-workers do? It can be their behaviour or something else.
For example, I have a co-worker who's due to leave today. He signed up to be a PT at the gym and then about 3-4 weeks ago he told me he's 'leaving in 3 weeks'. Naturally I told the manager because I was annoyed with his behaviour. Since everyone now knows he's leaving, his behaviour has worsened whenever he's on shift. He hides in the basement for around 15 minutes, up to an hour. He barely cleans, if at all. He doesn't bother doing any cleaning checks or makes sure any cleaning stations for gym members are stocked up. He's also quite weird and creepy towards females. Needless to say for me he's that 'one' co-worker I'll certainly never forget. |

I've been fortunate not to work with anyone exhibiting atypical behavior — aside from those with developmental differences.
I do think I am 'that' co-worker in that I exhibit abnormal behavior or professional techniques; but, again, I am neurodivergent. |

I am actually currently struggling with a coworker. She continues to say that my attendance is 'unacceptable' but what she doesn't know is my life is basically falling apart. There's been a couple full time positions that have opened up in other departments, and I'm hoping she takes one of them so I don't have to work with her anymore.

I've had so many of 'those' co-workers. I think my favourite example was somebody I worked with a few years ago who was a well known habitual liar about small meaningless details, such as places she's lived and elabourate adventures she's been on. Someone I know who is in contact with her recently said she claims work sent her on around the world trips, which is absolutely not the case! It always bought us a lot of laughter because she obviously thought everyone bought her stories, when we all knew for a fact none of it was ever true!

Yes but in my case the supervisor plays favorites with the coworker. They're one of those people that's very full of themselves, acts like they're the best thing ever and breaks the rules. However, because they have high productivity my supervisor ignores it.
There was an option for reassignment to a different team but in gonna wait till after I am done with school cause next year will be stressful and I don't want to add to this. Also, with certain rules pertaining to vaccination, I'm not sure this coworker will stick around. She'd sleep in her car instead of getting vaccinated but legally employers can, and some are, requiring it. |

Been there, the last lead in my department. She couldn't handle the power. She literally did NOTHING for her entire shift, which pretty much drowned me who got blamed if the slack wasn't picked up, and treated everybody like they were beneath her, but because she was my direct supervisor, I got the worst of it. She treated me like a toddler, despite the fact that I was 10 years older, had been there twice as long, and had been doing my job with no/minimal complaints for years. All the managers knew, but no one would do anything, and the general manager was either playing favorites, or didn't want to deal with replacing her. So, even after constant complaining and working my way up the management ladder with evidence and legitimate issues, (while making it clear I wasn't trying to get her fired so I could take her job) I still had to wait for her to quit.
