Mouse Wheel doesn't work

So here's the deal. For the previous 2-3 years, I've been using the same mouse and laptop. The mouse was created by Logitech, and today I've retrieved a problem.

Whenever I used to click on the mouse wheel, it would open a link in a new tab. When I go to check mouse settings under control panel, there's no option for middle-click. Does anybody know how to solve this?
