thinking of getting a tattoo
 

im thinking of getting a tattoo of a heart, a simple drawing of one, a bit cute like this pic, but drawn in black on the skin. I would like it very small, possibly as small as you can make these things, about the size of a fingertip. I want to get it on the back of my thigh, at the top near my bum, what do ye think?

That is a wonderful idea and would look fantastic placed above your bum. There is one thing I should tell you about, smaller isn't better and bigger isn't better either. When getting a tattoo keep in mind your skin over time is going to stretch out and become more loose. So you may want to think about getting it a tad bigger because you don't want your cute pretty heart to look like a blob in 20 years or so. I wasn't keen on getting a large tattoo but when I talked to the artist and they said about how our skin tends to stretch and wrinkle eventually that you don't want to go to small because it will look like a blob of ink and then what are you going to tell people or your grandchildren when youre 50 years old? So think about size but other than that very cute idea and I love the design!!! Think about the size as maybe half as what you have the picture at now. You'll know more once you talk to an artist.

I like the idea of a simple heart as I hate over complicated things as they tend to look messy.

Sounds like pretty good placement and it is cute. However, I'm one of those who thinks tattoos should Really mean something. It is your choice, though and it's totally respectable :). The simplest thing (a tiny heart) can represent the world to some one. It's one of the cool things about tattoos!
