My manager gave me a full shift tomorrow to make up for the other one screwing me, and he said "From there, we're going to change some things." Which I'm guessing means he's going to fix the mess. Plus, I get to close with him (my favorite shift) after I thought I wouldn't even see him.

Yesterday I got some (unsolicited!) compliments on a project I've been working on. I've been feeling a little unfulfilled lately so it was a good little confidence booster to have someone recognise my hard work and acknowledge all the progress I've made.

I went to a small community event today even though I was nervous about it, and it ended up being a really good experience. The people were friendly and the activity was enjoyable, and it might become a regular event now. I went to a local festival for a while afterwards as well, which was such a good way to round out the day.

Yesterday, I got to spend time with a family member I hadn't seen in some time. Being at their home reminds me of the holidays when I'd been young.
