Favorite scents

What are some scents you all really love? I really like the smell of vanilla and then when things are baking in the oven. :D

Re: Favorite scents

I have a few:
  • Vanilla
  • Anything chocolate-y
  • Cinnamon
  • Coffee
  • Anything citrus-y
  • Freshly mown grass
  • Freshly baked bread
  • That cotton fresh/linen scent
  • Pine trees (and pine furniture)
  • Mint
  • The sea
  • The air after a good rainfall
  • Bonfires
  • Barbecues
  • New technology (sounds weird, but hear me out, it's like a certain scent that when you are opening a new piece of tech, like a phone or a laptop and I don't know what it is but I like it :p )

Thanks for this thread, I really enjoyed it! :)

Edited to add: Sun cream!

Re: Favorite scents

Fun fact: I have almost no sense of smell at all (this was the case many years before covid too) so I barely know what anything smells like. :bleh: Sometimes I get a very brief smell of something before it goes away again, so I know that I like the smell of coffee! :D

Vanilla is my favorite scent by far. Give me anything vanilla scented and you are on my good side.

I also love the smell of freshly baked apple pie. Strawberries, peaches. Pretty much any fruit.

I'm not surprised :D I totally love the scent of brewing coffee <3

Other of my favourites are cinnamon, gingerbread (oh my, winter coffee with gingerbread syrup & cinnamon sprinkle on top... nothing beats that!), mulled wine, forest, freshly cut hay in the field, and also the scent of air after rain/storm :)

I love this question and seeing all your responses!

I've always been a big fan of scents. I have a very keen sense of smell as well, which has been a blessing. It's quite hard for me to pick and choose, but here are some:
- Vanilla
- Honey
- Cinnamon
- Smell of old books
- Lavender
- Citrus
- Coffee (strangely, I find coffee too bitter for consumption but I find its aroma heavenly!)
- Cocoa
- The smell of the ground/soil/air when it rains
- New technology (Celyn's input seconded!)
- Smell of the early morning atmosphere

:hehe:

I love the smell of burning wood. That smokey smell it makes is so nice. Granted that burning wood isn't great for the environment, but still!

Re: Favorite scents

This is the most enjoyable thread. I love the responses of every individual. It could honestly take a while for me to list because I am obsessed with the scents of this captivating universe.
A few of them include:
· The scent of petrol, it is so hard to take me back home from a petrol pump.
· The burning of chocolate cake in the oven
· The aroma of Indian and Pakistani food mixed in delicious spices
· Anything minty, specially the mint margarita
· The scent of fresh paint. I can stand in a new building forever because of this.
· The alluring scent of mud right after rain. I am not going to lie, it makes me want to eat it.
