Halloween 2022

Hi all!

Together with Emmie (Golfing girl) we made an infographic about the traditions
in our countries in the upcoming time - end of October and beginning of November.

Emmie provided the information and pictures for Halloween in the US, and I filled in the part about All Saints' Day in Poland.
I like the contrast between customs observed in different parts of the world.
Even though Halloween is not a traditional holiday in Poland, it has gained a lot of popularity in recent years, especially among young people,
who often celebrate both Halloween on 31 October and All Saints' Day on 1 November (I do, for instance -
throwing a Halloween party with some friends and dressing up is so much fun :hehe:).

What do you usually do in this period? Do you observe any customs? Perhaps you have some traditions that are unique to your family? :)

Thank you Emmie for coming up with the idea of creating a graphic together

I am so glad you shared this and taught us a little about the traditions in Poland! That was really informative and it sounds like a very special and honoring event.

I don’t really do anything for Halloween anymore. I used to trick or treat as a kid but now I stay home.

This is so exciting! I have a best friend who is Polish and I didn't know about that tradition!
I love Halloween, though maybe I'm a little biased because it's my birthday lol

Thank you Sue for sharing with us what you do to celebrate in Poland. :) I had a lot of fun working with you on this and I like how this looks, it's lovely. My younger sister and I are going to dress up and take our little cousins out for trick or treating and then watch a movie together and make hot chocolate, popcorn and pizza.

This is great to see! I also am glad to learn about the traditions in other countries when it comes to Halloween.

What a great collaborative project to put together something educational about Halloween. Thanks for sharing this, Emmie and Sue. :)

This is great! :)

Halloween isn't as big over here than in other countries. There's been times when I've had no trick-or-treaters.
