Back into isolation...

I went for lunch yesterday with two of my best friends, and this morning one of them has told me he might have covid and is booking a test for later today. If he does, I'll be back in isolation for another 10 days.

I've already isolated for almost three weeks in the last two months as it is. I know it's for the right reasons, and I'm not angry at the situation, but it is draining and is going to send my anxiety rocketing again. It also means I now can't work for the next 10 days, and I've only been in this job for two weeks so I feel awful. I work with vulnerable people though, so I have no choice. It's just annoying to be back here :nosweat:

Hello Hollie,

I am so sorry about this and hope that you will be okay soon. No matter what happens try to stay calm as much as you can and try not to think about it so much. Because when something happens to us or our friends or family members we keep thinking about it so much, this is going to get to us a lot and bring us down so much. If you can try to find something to get your mind off of this for a while until you know more about what is happening. I know it is hard to focus on something else when we are having a hard time with something. Try putting on a funny movie or TV show or grabbing a book to read for a while or drawing or painting or calling a friend or family member or baking cookies or finding something else that you enjoy doing and try doing that for a while. If you have to do a few different things to help pick you up, that is totally fine to do. I hope that you will be okay soon, sending you lots of  to help you.

Oh no. :( That always sucks when you have to get tested because of an exposure. I don't blame you for being anxious, or worried about having to quarantine. I hope everyone is in good health after all!

The anxiety of not knowing if you've been exposed and the anticipation of being tested is really draining; especially if it's happened more than once. It's getting to the point where it's like "enough already, just let me live my life!" without having to worry if someone has COVID and whether or not you've been exposed.

I hope everyone ends up being healthy, thinking of you.

I have found out this morning that my friend has tested positive, so I'm locked up again. D: Thankfully my boss dropped off my work computer so I can work from home until I go back, so that's one thing at least.
