I don't want to be pushy, but I'm afraid if I don't put extra effort into it, our friendship won't work out. It would just be nice if you contacted me first occasionally, so I don't feel like I'm being needy and dumb. - The whole reason I came home early was so we could spend time together as a family. Now I come to find out all of you have other plans. I wish someone would have told me that was the case. Now I have absolutely nothing to do with my night, when I could have stayed out longer with my boyfriend. It's just really inconsiderate, especially because I explicitly told you this was why I was coming home tonight. And now you're going to want me to spend time with y'all on the days when I do have things planned. Well guess what? I'm not rearranging my schedule for you. I did it once and it wasn't appreciated, so next time you'll just have to do things without me.

It doesn't make much sense to do it if the next session is the last one (not to mention that it would probably scare you) but if I'm staying at least 5 more months, you need to know. I intended to tell you in August and I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I think I'm finally comfortable enough with you, but yes, it took me that long.

- Please don't take me off private insurance. I know you think it'll help me, but it's only going to make things worse. I have until I am 26 and I know Dad pays at least half the bills, so I am not sure why you are pushing so hard for this. I think it's less about me being independent and more about it being convenient for you.

- Yes. I'm nervous about it, and yes, it would probably be an upsetting situation. But it's your birthday party and I'm not going to stop you from doing what would make you happy. Our problems shouldn't get in the way of things. I am a big girl, I will find a way to deal. God knows you are putting up with enough from me already.

You have until Friday, but I'm thinking you forgot about it which means that it was never a consideration in the first place because that's not something you would forget about. |

This night last year, we travelled up to another county and spent the night together and it was wonderful, so wonderful that I fell in love with you all over again and the fact that I hadn't been able to get him out of my head for three weeks didn't matter any more. I can't remember where we said goodbye the next morning but I know that I was wearing my blue dress. And then even when I got to work and I found out that the boy I couldn't get out of my head had spent the night with another girl and it hurt, I was so happy with how life was. That was the night that we went for drinks after work and the clocks went back an hour so the three of us stayed out an hour later and I was so hungover the next morning... and the night that decided what would eventually happen to him in work.... so much has changed in a year. And I still miss you. Even though I'm flying 4000 miles across the world to see someone else, I still miss you.

Hello dearest dutch teacher (and some others),
It's so nice you think I'm doing good because I have such a grate smile all the time. remember that presentation I did great while I told you I was going to try but not sure of the outcome because I was falling apart inside. I just scratched and kept my act up. But hey as long as i smile I'm doing great right? And sure as long as your eyes shine bright underneath a smiling mouth you doing just fine, nevermind that your eyes shine more bright because the light reflect unshed tears. Sure I'm doing great when I'm loudly making jokes with friends. Nevermind that it is a desperate attempt to get myself out of feeling bad by doing stuff that should lift your mood and I laugh hard because I feel like I should be doing that at those times. And sure if you see me walking around smiling and giggling over inside jokes I must be feeling great. No one even considers the possibility that I'm laughing about people around me being so blind and naive and being clueless and that my humor is just really dark. So yes, you're right I'm laughing a lot and so I must be at a really good point in my life. Because how else could I always look so happy? |
