You need to be clear, but gentle when you correct me. You basically handled it the right way, but THESE SITUATIONS are why I have anxiety, and it's apparently justified most of the time! This is disability-related and while it doesn't necessarily mean an "accommodation" is necessary in the traditional sense,apparently I need to disclose to you to have communication happen the way it needs to to best help me learn.

Are you ignoring me? Do you even care about me, or am I a fool for thinking that you do? Why am I being excluded and ignored? You say one thing and do the opposite. Do you really want to know or do you just want me to make you happy? What about me, what do I get from this?
I would love it if you took more interest in me. Replied to me, started conversations with me, sent me cute/funny stuff, checked in on me. Would love it if I could meet up with you at some time, and we could chat and cuddle. Visit places, do things, even if it's just a simple walk in the park. But it's all a dream, right? You are you, and I'm just stupid and childish. I mean nothing to you really. |

Current professors, I'm smarter than I seem, I promise. Ask my professors from last year. I'm a tutor, an education major, and an honor role student. I'm obviously intelligent and able to hold my own in the classroom. I've been having a rough few months with my eating disorder, and unfortunately, you didn't know me before this relapse. You didn't know me before this relapse so you don't know the quality of papers I used to write, or how I would help lead in-class discussion. You didn't see me as the only freshman in an upper-level English class. You don't know how hard I have to work to even turn things in on time anymore. I'm a smart student, at one point, I was a brilliant student. But the eating disorder has messed with my brain and it's hard for me to think clearly or rationally anymore. It's hard for me to see a point in going to class, but I'm going anyway. I wish I could tell you these things, I wish I had some way of articulating that I am a good student, I'm just not in a good position. Please be patient with me.

That was a mistake when neither of us thought it would be because you would've probably known I have to disclose to him now to make that make sense and to avoid the possibility of that coming back to bite me in the ass. This is somehow all my fault. |

You still haven't noticed that I lost so much weight over the summer, which makes me feel like it isn't a problem. I know if I don't stop, very soon I'll be underweight. I just have a hard time caring.

If I'm going to keep doing this, I should definitely do it now, but at the same time, I don't feel like I need you anymore and you broke me and can be nice about the fact that you don't care, so maybe it's not a good idea.
If you're going to start adding all of them, we're going to have a problem. |

No, I don't really like the way you've done your hair. The fact that you've dyed it a similar colour to mine, that you 'wanted it darker' to look like mine, and that it ended up being shaped like mine is....uncomfortable. Please put it back.

I love you, and I want you in my life, but how can I compete with your logic? You want to be an adult, but you aren't acting like it. You're trying to use someone's faith against them, and you aren't willing to move past the issue and find common ground. You want it your way or the highway. I want you to be around us, but I don't think that's going to be possible as long as you're acting this way.
