Tariffs?

The tariffs go into effect today, this is kinda crazy. Not exactly a high quality TS discodeb length post but feel free to discuss I guess?

That's an accurate portrayal of my current thoughts. This is insane. These tariffs are only going to harm everyday people in Canada, the USA, and Mexico. Trump sucking up to Putin is terrifying.

It's fucking edited that Trump is doing this. He is beginning to lose my support. This will make the economy less efficient and raise prices. Tariffs are inflationary. There is very good reason we import goods from other countries. Saying they are doing this because of fentanyl is an insult. Why should I lose money I have invested just because some addicts die from an overdose? The stock market is down (not September 2008, October 1929, or March 2020 down, but down nonetheless).

I live in Australia and Trump is on the news quite frequently. It's just crazy the things that he's been doing and saying.

Yup, I voted for him because I enjoyed 2017-2020 more than 2021-2024. Oops. The 2020s dystopia just continues to worsen. And Trump is actually the lesser of the evils. Elon is awful and he has Trump by the *****
