TeenHelp - Lonely.

My heart is aching for something but it won't tell me what it wants.
I think I'm just wary of rejection because I've been hurt once.
If I don't know what I want I can't be disappointed in what I get.
And there's nothing to remember, and want to forget.
I am afraid to ask you to stay with me.
That lonely comes off as needy.
I want your arms to hold the pieces intact.
But I'm afraid of how you'll react.
I can't stop the tears, and I can't suppress the pain.
I cannot lay here and feel like this again.
A connection through a line, when you're a pathetic distance away.
I try to speak what only my eyes can say.
If you were here to hold me I'd sleep easier, but alas...
The ones who deserve less receive last.
