Confused and lonely

Hello all,

I'm gonna start of with saying I'm 15 years old and haven't been in a relationship yet.

I have known a certain girl for about three years now, and have been friends with here for about two. We're not best friends, but we're pretty close. Recently we've been talking less and less because she's been ill on-and-off for the last few weeks and people in our class have noticed that we've been hanging out, meaning that they kind of "ship" us, for lack of a better term, which makes things quite awkward.

Now, I've only had feelings for this girl since end-2016 and they have only become stronger since. This makes our time "apart" difficult for me. I constantly want to make contact with her but that's often difficult because she's talking with friends or ill or one of my friends interrupts us or whatever.

Point is, contact is becoming more and more difficult and that's taking its toll on my emotions. I'm overthinking things and become more confused and also a bit lonelier each day.

I'm planning on asking her out for the Christmas gala our school is organising or otherwise just asking her if she'd like to join me in watching the new Star Wars (she said she wanted to watch it someday), this time as a formal date rather than just hanging out like we've done before,

What I want to know is how to help these feelings of confusion and loneliness away until then or alternatively how to make more contact with her. Thanks in advance.
