Does anyone have a roomba? Good vacuum?

Does anyone have a Roomba? Do they actually work well? Think it would clog if I used it on hay?
...Good vacuums for picking u tons of hay from guinea pigs? :nosweat:

I've never had one myself, however a friend had one and it worked well for cleaning his flat. They are quite small and can't handle large amounts of dirt, so hay might be too much for it, I would look at something more heavy duty.

I have a shark vacuum and they seem good with bigger items but they're also pretty pricey. I just down I used the little hose to pick up cat food that spilled and it handled it like a champ

We tend to use a Dyson. They're super powerful and I've unintentionally sucked up those huge gobs of peanut packing when they slip under places after opening parcels. Hasn't clogged yet!

I don’t think a roomba or any of the smaller robot vacuums will work for hay because the canisters are smaller and they get clogged super easy. We have had a few of the Dyson vacuums and haven’t had any issues with clogging but never used it a lot on hay. I would recommend a shop vac. we have a wet/dry industrial stainless steel one and used it for cleaning up any hay that spilt outside and it never got clogged but you want to buy the larger (2.5”) hose. They tend to be cheaper as well and are handy to have around in case of any flooding or emergencies. They are louder than your typical vacuum which is something to be mindful about but they do a really good job at hay pick up.
