Early period on birth control
I've been on Mononessa (combo pill) for about five months, and today I think I've started my period, even though I'm not taking the placebo pill until tomorrow. I usually don't get my period until the Wednesday after I start taking the placebo. I have skipped two or three pills this month by accident, could that be why? Or should I ask my doctor about it?

Re: Early period on birth control
It's possible that skipping pills has thrown your period off a bit. I know I've had months where my period started a day or two earlier or later than it should have. I don't think it's anything to worry about though. Go ahead & ask your doctor about it if you're still concerned.

Re: Early period on birth control
This sounds normal to me, particularly if you had skipped pills earlier this month. If you're concerned, you can always give your gynecologist a call, but this doesn't sound concerning to me.

Re: Early period on birth control
This will happen if you miss pills it is very normal so no need to be alarmed. It is very important that you try to remember to take all of your pills next month though not only to insure the effectiveness of your birth control, but also to keep your cycles regular.

If you've skipped pills then it's normal :) I wouldn't worry.
