Where art though period?
Alrighty! I'm on the birth control that you only get a period once every 3 mobths but my pills are ALL active so I took it upon myself and decided to not start my new pack until after a week (how my old ones used to work).
Well, my last pill was Friday night and it has always taken 3 days for me to get my period... It's now Tuesday (way early morning) and I'm not feeling periodish and it hasn't shown it's head yet... I am in a very committed relationship and my BC is the only form of protection we rely on. If it doesn't show up by the end of the day, should i take a pregnancy test? I'm worried because I've been drinking lightly (except Saturday night i got pretty drunk). It makes me worried if i am pregnant and I've been doing that... |

Your breakthrough bleeding in between pill packages are not definitive signs of pregnancy or lack there of, even if it DID come. It's breakthrough bleeding-it's meaningless. It is not the shedding of lining, as a regular period. If you're worried about pregnancy, you can take pregnancy test, but I doubt you are. However, if it makes you feel better, you might as well! :)

Hey there,
If you are worried about being pregnant then I would suggest that you take a pregnancy test just to ease any stress you might be having in regards to the issue. I don't think that the lack of bleeding is a definitive sign of pregnancy though so try not to stress too much. I hope this helped and I am wishing you the best of luck. |

You can take a test to feel better. Some people stop having periods while on birth control and may not resume till a few months afterwards.
