Where art though period?

Alrighty! I'm on the birth control that you only get a period once every 3 mobths but my pills are ALL active so I took it upon myself and decided to not start my new pack until after a week (how my old ones used to work).

Well, my last pill was Friday night and it has always taken 3 days for me to get my period... It's now Tuesday (way early morning) and I'm not feeling periodish and it hasn't shown it's head yet... I am in a very committed relationship and my BC is the only form of protection we rely on. If it doesn't show up by the end of the day, should i take a pregnancy test? I'm worried because I've been drinking lightly (except Saturday night i got pretty drunk). It makes me worried if i am pregnant and I've been doing that...

Your breakthrough bleeding in between pill packages are not definitive signs of pregnancy or lack there of, even if it DID come. It's breakthrough bleeding-it's meaningless. It is not the shedding of lining, as a regular period. If you're worried about pregnancy, you can take pregnancy test, but I doubt you are. However, if it makes you feel better, you might as well! :)

Hey there,

If you are worried about being pregnant then I would suggest that you take a pregnancy test just to ease any stress you might be having in regards to the issue. I don't think that the lack of bleeding is a definitive sign of pregnancy though so try not to stress too much.

I hope this helped and I am wishing you the best of luck.

You can take a test to feel better. Some people stop having periods while on birth control and may not resume till a few months afterwards.
