i hear about it every year. personally im not interested in trying it.
there is also a follow up challenge called DDD (dick destroying december)

Personally speaking, I find it silly to deny oneself pleasure just to keep up with a "trend", but if it makes one feel good about themselves and what they're doing I don't see why they shouldn't. I just personally don't get the appeal.
