I have terrible periods as well. You're are so sick because you're body is throwing up from the pain (it's a defense mechanism).

I recommend going to see a doctor and I highly recommend the pill. It's true that it can cause some side affects but you just go back to the doctor and tell them it's not working out for you and tell them why. I've switched up my birth control pill probably about 5 times since I started using it 3 years ago. I recommend the ones that give you one period every 3 months (it's what I use because it only lets you have the period pain 4 times a year instead of 12 and it's not nearly as painful).

Another thing that may help is a heating pad or bottle. Just try to relax and take it easy. Think about the pill or talk to a doctor about it. Good luck, I hope your pain starts to ease.
