Hey.

It's pretty normal, I have dreams like this a lot. Since our brains aren't sleeping when our bodies are, they break down and process events in the past and present as well as the things you have thought about. If you were self-harm before you went to bed that could also be part of it. Since you could forget the dream later, it's a good idea to write these down somewhere. I believe you can help prevent them by thinking of something else or doing something soothing such as listening to soft music before falling asleep.

These can be triggering and what I think it's best to keep distracted! If you can go on with your morning routine, try and do that so you can put all of your thought into something.
