Re: New work shift depression? - May 12th 2019, 08:33 PM

How did the meeting with your psychiatrist go?

It's possible that the shift changes may be contributing towards the bouts of crying and depression. More so if you are regularly only running on a few hours of sleep. It's known that lack of sleep can affect your mental health. If you feel that the shift changes and lack of sleep are affecting your mental health, you might want to check out this article on why sleep is important and what you can do to catch up on lost sleep.

If you have previously/currently struggled with mental illness it may be that you are relapsing, but I'm sure your psychiatrist would be able to help you if that was the case.
