Happy Holidays from TeenHelp - Yesterday, 11:00 PM

Hello everyone,

For some, this season feels warm and bright. For others, it feels heavy, lonely, or just exhausting. And for a lot of us, it’s all of that at once. If the holiday season is difficult, you're not doing it wrong and you're not alone.

If you're at family gatherings and feeling overwhelmed, or if you're spending this time alone, by choice, by circumstance, or just because that's how things ended up - that can be really tough. Whatever you're feeling is valid. It’s okay if you don’t feel excited, if you don’t want to be social, or if you just need a break.

If it all feels like too much, try doing some self-care. It doesn’t have to be big, even small things help. Step outside or into another room for a few minutes, listen to your favourite music, have something simple to eat or drink some water, or just rest in whatever way feels right for you.

Self-care can also be slowing down and saying no when you need to. Taking a break from people, social media, or anything that's stressing you out. Let yourself feel what you feel instead of trying to push it away.

And if all you’re managing right now is getting through the day, that’s enough. Make space for the things that help you to feel grounded, and most of all, be gentle and patient with yourself.

Warmth and support from all of us at TeenHelp
