You definitely shouldn’t feel embarrassed about this as it is something you can’t control. I’m sure you wouldn’t laugh at someone who has a medical emergency in front of you, so I’d hope others will extend that to you. Do you think you could develop a plan with people you regularly interact with to help you during a seizure? Not everyone knows what to do (I wouldn’t fully know either). I understand not telling complete strangers, but say you’re hanging out with friends you may have one and need to be kept safe.
I’m assuming you see a doctor so I would definitely keep track of how often this is happening and what you experience so they can adjust your treatment plan if needed. If you aren’t seeing one I do recommend it. I just worry that things will end up getting worse for you or you’ll cause other damage or injury during a seizure. I don’t want to see you being hurt. There’s no shame in seeing a doctor or being treated for seizures. You wouldn’t shame someone for having a severe asthma attack or anaphylaxis for example, so there’s no shame in seizures.
