Hey there
I’m really glad you reached out to us here. I can’t begin to imagine how you must be feeling but think you’re doing amazing ti get through each day.
Like Dez said, good things have happened before, they can happen again. I know you feel in self sabotage mode in at the moment and I wonder if there is a trigger for that? Is it because you feel like things can’t change? I know for me it’s often triggered by feeling undeserving or unworthy of help/change. Honestly, things can change, things can get better. Nothing lasts for ever, the bad new is the good doesn’t last forever but the good news if neither does the bad. Everything eventually passes but we have to be willing to make some changes along the way. Would it be helpful to make little goals? Even little things like brushing teeth, having a shower to start off with, then maybe going for a walk, watching a film, helping with a chore, cooking dinner etc. eventually it may lead to volunteering or even work. Have you thought about attending any local groups, even one (if there is one) for autism? Was recently diagnosed with autism and can understand and relate to how it affects me in social situations so being around people who struggle with similar struggles might be helpful.
Either way, you have a life worth living, sometimes it just gets a little dark and clouded for us to see and recognise it, but if you keep going, you’ll see it’s there at some point. Dez mentioned DBT: I have done DBT and they focus a lot on life worth living goals and I wonder whether this is something you could have a think about in your own time … what are your life worth living goals? Even creating a poster with them on to stick up someone where as a reminder.
Hold on, it won’t last and it can get better and in the meantime, we are here to support you so don’t be alone.
Im rooting for you,
Jess
