I can say without a doubt I would have kept it. I was one of those teenagers that almost secretly wanted it to happen.

BUT If I hadn't been so very, very naive and had like an older self to come and enlighten me on how incredibly difficult and expensive it is I hope I would have chosen to abort. I'm lucky it happened when it did and that I was financially stable and with a partner who was willing to stick by me and my decision. I can only imagine how hard and exhausting my life would be right now if I'd gotten pregnant at 16 to be honest. There is no reason to make life harder than it needs to be and I've realized that there is plenty of time for everything, especially having kids.

When reality is a prison, your mind can set you free.
