Live Help is on the move.
 
TeenHelp has run Live Help since 2005 and this is a really important way for members to find support in real time.

Following a review of how we run this service and due to lower uptake on the current system, we have migrated this onto our already popular Discord server so that users can continue to receive live support.

In addition to the Support & Advice room, the Chat Room will be staffed by our Mentor team and wider Staff team and we will be facilitating ways for you to connect for 1-2-1 and group support, such as through advice days, support discussions and help requests.

This is hopefully the next useful step in taking this really useful service forward and keeping it for the benefit of our members.

I think hat's a really good idea and definitely a step in the right direction! All chat can still operate the same, too. :)

Sounds great but how will it work, will there like be a I need help button in the chatroom like we had previously in a chatroom a long time ago? as at current I am not sure theres a way to tell who is in which room within in the discord chatroom itself?

Hey, you can type !help [your message] to send a help request to Staff members, which may be useful if nobody is replying in Support & Advice channel.

ahh cool that makes more sense, perhaps we could have a message at the top of the chat room showing that function? Just thinking it would be potentially useful for alot of members,

Yes, I think it would be good to have a message pinned in the support and advice channel perhaps. Maybe even the welcome channel.
