That wasn't your secret to tell. I know you didn't mean anything by it and I'm so appreciative of the intent behind it, but you've put me in a really weird position and now I feel super uncomfortable. This is all new to me and I'm not sure how to handle it.

Food for thought: your actions have consequences. How you interact with people has a direct effect on how those people feel, and in particular how they feel about you. It wouldn't hurt to be more careful with your words, if you can.

I'm not trying to lie to you about my health but I'm afraid to tell you the full truth. I mention things off-handedly so you're aware because you're so invested in my recovery that it wouldn't be fair to not mention these things to you. I want you to know, but I don't want you to feel responsible for my health - I am taking full responsibility for what does or doesn't happen to me. You know a lot more about the medical field than I do, which is why I asked you those initial questions. But now I'm getting into a doctor and I can ask the PA questions. I don't want to burden you, but I want to let you know how I am health-wise. Please don't interpret this as me wanting you to take care of me or be my doctor, I truly was asking for clarification on various issues I was facing because my internet searches weren't giving me consistent results and I wasn't connected to a professional. I'm sorry that this feels like manipulation, at least it does from my side. I'm sorry that I've dragged you into this. I'm so sorry.

You're really not meeting my emotional needs right now. I know you're trying to look out for you. But who's looking out for me now? I've never felt so alone, and it kills me that I feel this way when you're physically by my side. You're there, but there's so much distance between us. I'm losing myself now. I've tried to hold on for you, but if I'm on my own to cope with this, I'm about out of options. Looks like harm reduction is the best I can manage. I'm sorry.

I think you kind of know this but:
I hate that I fell in love and led to bring vulnerable and led to the chance of heartbreak. I know everyone searches for that and there were times that I wanted it too...but I also tried to avoid it and I did so well until you. I hate that I fell in love because I feel I'm going to end up hurt. There are no guarantees in life and I know losing you will break me... Even though I try and pretend I'd be fine. I fucking hate that I allowed myself to fall in love when I was able to avoid it for ages. Like, I wouldn't go back and re do things necessarily but I just hate this feeling sometimes. Knowing I have something beautiful and amazing and knowing I could very well lose it. |

I love you, but it hurts my feelings when you ask me to do something, and then turn around and let someone else do it. I look forward to spending time with you, and it always feels like you shut me out.
