new work: lullaby i wrote "Dream Of Paradise"
 

Okay so one night my sister Hailey (4) woke up from a nightmare, screaming. So i went in her room and held her and sang a little bit of a song I was making up as I went along. I found that I really liked it, so I added on. The more I wrote, the more I realized that it was more of a lullaby for my best friend/sister Mimi <3 soooooo I also call it "Mimi's Lullaby" as well as "Dream of Paradise" or just "Paradise"
here it is:

My darling angel I am here,
what are you crying for?
You are safe inside my heart,
no pain, not anymore,
I will love you 'til the end,
no need to scream or cry,
stay with me in paradise,
and our love will never die.

Rest your head beneath the stars,
let nothing keep you awake,
let go of pain, forget each tear,
and every last mistake,
escape the things that hold you down,
the chains of reality,
and fly away to dreamland,
and in paradise run free.

Where bluebirds sing and willows weep,
only dreamers dare to hide,
a place where lovers go to cry,
when the ones they love have died,
this is your paradise,
a place you already know,
just calm your heartbeat,
close your eyes,
and to paradise,
you may go <3

This is surprisingly good, I am very impressed, keep writing and posting!

Also, I'm sure it's a typo... "a ace where lvers go to cry"
"a place where lovers*?"

that's actually beautiful :) I wish i could do that to my little sis but mine would probably be like "la la la... erm.. go to sleep" :L x

haha yeah it was a typo. i fixed it :p thank you both of you. haha my sister likes when I sing to her so it was worth getting up at 3:00 for ;)

I like it, if I could sing I would sing it to my little sister :P it's kind of like a bright side to my poems, it's nice someone writes about happier things :D

yeah. I tried to make it happier, since all of my other poems/songs are depressing :/
