Some people hug and kiss
Some people like to tickle the not-so-ticklish
Some people pray that their loved ones return
Others find comfort in writing a letter
These are the things that keep hope alive
But I just lay in bed and tell myself
The story of 1,001 ways to die
My favorite story, I love to hear
All the awesome ways I can disappear

I actually found this thought provoking and wonder if there is any way to extend it into a story or something. Only if you want to of course.

Hmm I can try! Any ideas?

I have this one friend who tells me I'm a better storyteller than poet xD I am not confident in myself though

I really like the way this is set up - first introducing what "some people" do and then going into what the narrator is doing, which seems strikingly different. Thanks for sharing, and as always I look forward to seeing your next piece. :hug:
