The Last Time

When was the last time you smiled?
I mean a real smile,
where your eyes sparkled all over
along with your mouth?
A smile where your eyes weren't so sad?
When was the last time
the words didn't cut deep into your soul?
Only sticks and stones could break your bones,
but words couldn't break you.
When was the last time you were happy and you meant it?
