she had a dream

She was a girl with a dream,
Innocent and care free,
Fairly happy to just be,
She was a girl with a dream,
Now she's a girl living in a nightmare
Empty and alone,
Depressed and anxious,
Head filled with fears and what if's,
Lost and confused,
She was a girl with a dream,
He came along and shattered her world,
Took all that he could,
She was a girl with a dream,
Innocent and care free,
Now she wants to be elsewhere
She dreams of being safe and heard.
