Is fever, vomiting, diarrhea/loose motion an early sign of pregnancy?

Is fever, vomiting, diarrhea/loose motion an early sign of pregnancy? Or is it just food poisoning?

When you're pregnant, your body can have a slightly higher body temperature than what is normal. Although, not a feverish body temperature. Vomiting is DEFINITELY a sign of pregnancy (morning sickness, though it's not limited to just the mornings). Diarrhea though I'm not too sure of.

Here is a link for pregnancy symtoms: http://www.americanpregnancy.org/get...ysymptoms.html

Here is a link for food poisoning symptoms:
http://www.emedicinehealth.com/food_...g/page3_em.htm

To me, it sounds like you just having some food poisoning, especially if those symptoms came on pretty quickly after eating something that might have been bad. Although, these could also be cold or flu symptoms as well.

Re: Is fever, vomiting, diarrhea/loose motion an early sign of pregnancy?

Pregnancy symptoms are too similar to several illnesses to determine if you might be pregnant just by the symptoms. If you are experiencing this due to pregnancy, then you would definitely get a positive test result.

So take a test soon.

Also, if it's food poisoning, it can take up to 10-12 hours from the time you ate something bad to show symptoms.

And yes, diarrhea can be a symptom of pregnancy. It's usually constipation, but some women have diarrhea instead.

I am asking these questions on behalf of my girlfriend.

I ejaculated on her vagina (not inside) around 25th of January. She got her periods on 9th February. Lasted 6 days. Finished on 15th Feb. I ejaculated again on her vagina on 20th Feb, 22 Feb, 24 Feb and 25 Feb. She fell sick in the morning of 26th Feb... vomiting, fever, diarrhea. So there are the dates.. is it possible that she's pregnant?

When I say I ejaculated on her vagina, I exaggerate a bit. We never had sex. We both stand and I rub my penis between her legs so that it rubs her vagina too. And I ejaculate while rubbing it between her legs. 2 times I am sure I ejaculated. The rest of the times I am not too sure.. maybe it was precum? But precum won't make my penis and her vagina too wet right? So maybe it was the fluid from her vagina? I'm just not sure. I'm not sure because I didn't feel I am ejaculating. But after every time my penis got in contact with her vagina, she washed her vagina with water and soap within an hour.

Re: Is fever, vomiting, diarrhea/loose motion an early sign of pregnancy?

Since it was only ON her vagina, I highly doubt that she'd be pregnant. When sperm hits air, it usually dies off pretty quickly. Also, since you're unsure of whether or not you actually ejaculated, I'd say that the chances are pretty slim. In order to get pregnant, the sperm would have to find it's way into the vagina to fertilize an egg. Since she had her period this month, just about a week and a half ago, I highly doubt she's pregnant. Even if she were, she WOULD NOT be experiencing pregnancy symptoms so soon, so I think it's safe to say that this is stemming from something else, like the cold or the flu.

Ejaculated on her vagina on these dates again 20th Feb, 22 Feb, 24 Feb and 25 Feb. Is it possible to experience nausea because of pregnancy this soon?

Re: Is fever, vomiting, diarrhea/loose motion an early sign of pregnancy?

IF she is pregnant, she will continue to have nausea, correct?

But what if she gets fine in a day or two? What if her nausea is gone in two or three days? Will we know for sure that these were not pregnancy symptons? and was just food poisoning?

No. Usually, an early pregnancy symptom would be a missed period. Since she got hers, and it lasted a normal amount of time, I'd say she's not pregnant.

No. Woman usually don't find out they are pregnant from anywhere between 6-12 weeks of pregnancy. Symptoms don't start until about the 6th-8th week of pregnancy. Your girlfriend WOULD NOT EVEN KNOW SHE WAS PREGNANT YET.

Honestly, we CANNOT tell you if your girlfriend is pregnant or not based on what you've simply said here. We are not doctor's and/or pregnancy tests. If you both are worried she's pregnant, you should have her take a pregnancy test to be sure. That's the only way to know.

I'm not trying to be rude, but you're going to get exactly the same answers that you got in the same thread you posted at the end of January, asking about this.

Where we live, it is not easy for us to get our hands on a pregnancy test. Her next period is due on 9th or 10th March. If she gets it, there is nothing to worry about, right?

Correct.

And if it's hard for you to get your hands on a pregnancy test where you live, then I would suggest that you start using condoms. Your behavior can become very risky if you two get carried away, and it's very important to KNOW if you're pregnant or not.

Re: Is fever, vomiting, diarrhea/loose motion an early sign of pregnancy?

If she gets her next period, there is no problem and she would not be pregnant. AGAIN, if she gets her period, NO PREGNANCY.

I also agree with the above. If you can't easily get your hands on a pregnancy test, you need to start wearing condoms...even if you are engaging in intercourse. It's important. Not only are you protecting yourself from pregnancy, but from STD's too.

I'd also look into finding a free clinic that does pregnancy testing as well if you can't easily get a home pregnancy test.

There are also several legit places online to buy pregnancy tests and are shipped in discreet packages. I agree with everything else, the above users have stated. Just thought I'd remind you...the internet is a wonderful thing! Just be sure to order from a legit website if you ever order pregnancy tests online.

Thank you for the help.

I asked a question above whoch only one user answered. Im sorry for being paranoid but Id like to get confirmation from as many people as I can.

If we had sex on Monday 20th and she got pregnant, WOULD SHE START GETTING NAUSEA ON SUNDAY 26th? It is not possible to start getting nausea in just one week, correct? Is it safe to say that this nausea is because of something else OTHER than pregnancy?

Re: Is fever, vomiting, diarrhea/loose motion an early sign of pregnancy?

I answered this, and I'll answer it again to ease your mind. It's natural to be paranoid, so don't worry about it :)

If you engaged in activity on the 20th, and she began experiencing nausea on the 26th, it WOULD NOT be due to pregnancy. Conception takes two weeks, and even then, she would not be experiencing ANY pregnancy symptoms or even know her body was pregnant. On average, woman don't know they are expecting until around 6-12 weeks into their pregnancy, so around 1.5-3 months along. Symptoms don't begin until around 8 weeks.

What your girlfriend is experiencing has nothing to do with pregnancy.

What about the activity we engaged in around 25 Jan? If she had gotten pregnant at that time, she should be showing symtoms now as it has been 4 weeks. BUT she got her periods on 9th Feb, so it is just not possible that she could be pregnant because of what happened on 25th Jan, correct?

Listen to Shannon.

No, none of these symptoms would have anything to do with what you did at the end of January. Especially because it would be almost impossible to get her pregnant with what you're doing.

But it will make your life a whole lot easier if you just use condoms.

Look over the other thread you made about the same topic.. all the questions are answered there, too.

Since she had a period since Jan 25th, then this means she is not pregnant. It would be unlikely for her to get pregnant, unless the semen were to be pushed inside of her vagina (by fingers or your penis), but still is unlikely.

So, I do not think she is pregnant. If you are worried, try buying a test (online, as I stated before), and start using condoms so you don't have to worry about this.
:)

LET'S SUPPOSE, this nausea is because of pregnancy. It shouldn't go away in a few days, should it?

If the nausea were from pregnancy, then no, it would not typically go away in a few days.

Harmony♥ February 28th 2012 09:53 PM

Re: Is fever, vomiting, diarrhea/loose motion an early sign of pregnancy?

If the nausea goes away in a few days, it's not associated in any way towards pregnancy. But, as I said before, her nausea is probably not associated with pregnancy at all. Since you're both worried about becoming pregnant, or the possibility that SHE is pregnant, she may be putting her mind and body through what is called an hysterical pregnancy. It's where you MAKE YOURSELF BELIEVE that you're pregnant when you aren't pregnant at all. So, stop worrying and calm down.
