Storm Wars (parallel poem)
 
a dark cloud descends
a nightmare invades
upon the silent valley
as the battle rages
thunder rolls overhead
a loud boom is heard
lightning glows brilliantly
a bright light fills the sky
the skies open up
dark grey clouds loom overhead
the rain pours down
as soldiers trudge through mud
everything gets drenched
and equipment grows heavy
the storm blows out of control
lives are lost as fighting continues
the rain subsides
the fighting comes to a standstill
as the clouds roll out
the sky overhead brightens
the sun shines through
the battle is over

Thanks guys, Im thinking you understand that they ARE 2 separate poems?
one about a thunderstorm and one about war. but they also work together as one...

Just checking :) I like parallel poems. But they're so hard to write, and not a lot of people understand how to read them.
