Going to be doing some chores
Waiting patiently for my package and telling myself I have to wait until after I open it. Hoping the urge will be gone by than and if not I'll figure out another reason to put it off

Distracting myself with teenhelp.
Reminding myself that I have plans tonight and cannot miss them due to cutting and needing medical help.
Doing some laundry as well.

I’ve been coloring, reading and reorganizing (helps with anxiety).

I went shopping early this morning as I was struggling a bit and needed a distraction
I will be reading/attempting to get my current book finished up. I might start a new book as well or work on some of the graphic novels I picked up at the library.

I've been crocheting non stop.
Resilient
1. (of a person or animal) able to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions.
2. (of a substance or object) able to recoil or spring back into shape after bending, stretching, or being compressed.
We all possess resilience, we just need to realize it.

Honestly cutting hasn't really crossed my mind lately. So think by managing my emotions and knowing I have a goal to reach if I want to work in the psych ward.

I decided to calm myself down before I go to the area where it's easiest to self harm (since the area isn't avoidable) by eating lunch and doing other things first.
Do you ever get a little bit tired of life
Like you're not really happy but you don't wanna die
Like you're hanging by a thread but you gotta survive
'Cause you gotta survive

Reading
Distracting myself with a few online activities
I also am planning on doing a little something tonight so I am giving myself something to look forward too. Reminding myself that if I self harm I will likely miss out on the activity.
Lastly, reminding myself that I am trying to get a job and if I self harm I could miss an opportunity. This allows me to keep putting it off for a longer period of time.

Yesterday I cleaned my fish tanks and wrote a paper for class. I think today I want to read and talk to my therapist.

I meditated. Tried it for the first time and am extremly surprised on how much it helps.
It's ok to give in to an urge or make a mistake. You are only human and we all have our flaws. We all have our weak moments and we all make mistakes. Thats what makes us human.
Thats what makes us unique and beautiful
Courage isn't always a loud roar. Sometimes it is a quiet whisper at the end of a day saying: Tomorrow I will try it again!

I've used a lot of methods over the years, but the ones that have worked the most are:
listening to music - I mostly listen to CCM or Christian rock when I'm down because it's very uplifting
prayer as I've always been strong in my faith, except for the times when I turned to SH instead of my faith
reading one book series in particular - I believe I'm on the tenth time reading it, maybe more
writing poetry - this had been one of the absolute best things to help me because while it doesn't distract me from the urges, it helps me work through whatever is causing them
I smoked cigarettes from the time I was fourteen until this past December (I switched to vaping because it's not as unhealthy / hazardous) and when I was having a really hard time, I would force myself to wait until after I had smoked a cigarette. The time it took to finish the cigarette would give me time to calm down. It wasn't a healthy coping method, but at the time, I was already smoking, and to me, it was the lesser of the two evils since it did help. I am in no way recommending smoking instead of SH; it was just something that helped me when I was younger. Both habits are unhealthy and harmful, but I will admit that it helped me quit SH, and as I said, I've since quit smoking cigarettes altogether
