My family had people over yesterday so I stayed busy. And I've been chewing on ice.

By punching it on the face! >
I'm not a cutter, I'm a fighter.
These are my scars from battle.
This is the blood of my enemies.
Don't relate me to them, because unlike them, I'm strong,
and they can be just like me if they try.

I'm beating SH by reminding myself that I'm not alone in this. I have a family who truly cares for my well being, and that I can always lean on them when I'm struggling.

A few weeks ago my friend got upset with me because I wouldn't stop cutting. I was tired of making people so angry with me so this is what I did: I wrote a promise on a piece of paper and signed my name that I will never cut myself again. She was happy to see that. I hate lying and I NEVER break promises. So it works.

I'm beating SH by staying focused on other things, such as cleaning, playing with Ava, playing Sims, or hanging out with friends. Something that I can really give all my attention.

Do you wanna come with me? 'Cause if you do, then I should warn you - you're gonna see all sorts of things. Ghosts from the past. Aliens from the future. The day the Earth died in a ball of flame. It won't be quiet, it won't be safe, and it won't be calm. But I'll tell you what it will be: The trip of a lifetime!
Don't trust a perfect person and don't trust a song that's flawless.

It's ok to give in to an urge or make a mistake. You are only human and we all have our flaws. We all have our weak moments and we all make mistakes. Thats what makes us human.
Thats what makes us unique and beautiful
Courage isn't always a loud roar. Sometimes it is a quiet whisper at the end of a day saying: Tomorrow I will try it again!

I'm beating SH by praying for strength when I think that I have none. Playing with Ava when I need reminded that I have a reason to be strong, and talking to Jordan about it when I have doubts that I am not loved in this world. My Lord, and my family will never fail me.

I took a step back from what was triggering me.

I pray for the strength to keep my head up in the darkest of times. Even though I've been clean, I still struggle to want that back. SH CAN become an addiction, and I think God that it's one that I've broken, even if I still crave it every once and again.

I've been using an adult coloring book app and I just ordered some sharpies and two adult coloring books. Hoping that they will help when I am feeling triggered.
