Do I have an eating disorder? -
September 12th 2010, 08:58 AM
I'm not too sure about this... I barely eat ever. And I try to avoid it at all costs. I feel like my stomach is fat, even though everyone always tells me how skinny I am. I can't look at myself in the mirror because I just feel ugly. I'm afraid to eat in front of people. And I can't order food at a restaurant for myself. There's never a "Baby do these jeans make me look fat?" with me, because I can't take the compliment if my boyfriend says that I'm not fat.
I like eating, a lot. I just never have the motivation to eat, and I'm afraid to gain weight. And yet, I'm also afraid of losing weight.

It sounds to me like anorexia nervosa, but as I'm not a doctor, I'm unqualified to make a diagnosis. I'd recomend going to your GP and talking to them about it.

All I had to do was read the first sentence to realise that you have some issue with eating. I would highly recommend you speak to a doctor or a professional about your issues with food before it gets worse and you get ill.
You will struggle to get better without professional help so I advise that you look into it as soon as possible.
