I stared at the sun during the eclipse and now have a small blind spot in my left eye. It is getting better though, so I know it won't last forever. I can finally read most of the time, as long as the letters don't overlap a smaller-than-before blind spot in my eye. It started out by appearing like a camera flash or the brightness still on your eye when you go inside after a bright summer day of swimming and seeing the reflection of the water, but then it just didn't go away. Each day I have it, but it slowly seems to be improving and getting smaller (no longer the size of the image of the sun). I can finally see the time on my computer again even if it is blurry and I don't make as many typos due to the eye issue.

I wouldn't recommend staring at the sun even when there isn't an eclipse going on since it can damage your eyesight, and also cancer of the eye is a thing. But, it's great to hear that your eyesight is improving! I'd just keep an eye on it and if it doesn't go away fully or gets worse, go in to the eye doctor for further treatment. Eyesight definitely isn't something to mess around with.
The sun is always gonna rise up
You need to get up, gotta keep your head up
Look at the people all around you
The way you feel is something everybody goes through

Sorry about your eyes and I also wouldn't look at the sun during this when it was happening. If you have anymore trouble can you go to the doctor and talk to them about it and see what they can do to help you to feel better. I hope you will be okay soon.
